Gareth Jones is a UNAIDS consultant, where they support youth leadership and engagement at the global level in AIDS response. They are also one of the Vice Chairs for the Partner Engagement in Countries Committee at PMNCH. They have previous experience as a sexual health and HIV service manager in the UK, having managed STI/HIV prevention and testing services across Greater Manchester and the HIV social support service for York and North Yorkshire. Within this work, they recognised the implications of broader wellbeing on sexual health/HIV outcomes and worked to integrate a wellbeing lens into sexual health service delivery, developing closer linkages with different services across localities to ensure fast referrals to improve the wellbeing of people accessing STI/HIV services. They hold an MPH in International Development from the University of Sheffield and a BSc (Hons) degree in Sexual Health Studies from the University of Central Lancashire.
